Experience a day immersed in nature, starting with a guided herb walk through scenic Richmond riverside and woodland, a nutrient-rich, seasonal lunch crafted with wild foraged ingredients, and culminating in a hands-on balm-making workshop where you'll create your own custom herbal blends under the expert guidance of renowned herbalist and Forage Botanicals founder, Natasha Richardson BSc (Hons), MSt, MNIMH.
Highlights:
Herb Walk: Embark on a sensory journey through nature with our enchanting herb walk, where the vibrant botanical world reveals its hidden medicine. As we meander through lush landscapes, Natasha Richardson will unveil the secrets of each plant, sharing fascinating anecdotes and traditional uses. Our guide will weave tales of ancient herbal remedies, offering insights into the age-old wisdom passed down through generations.
Seasonal Grazing Lunch: Riverhouse Head Chef, Vanessa ,will create a plentiful seasonal and nutrient dense grazing lunch, including some of the wild and foraged ingredients from the Riverhouse garden, local area and beyond. We will also be incorporating some of Forage Botanicals products into the foodie experience and show different way of including these easy to use and tasty products into your everyday routine. Expect hints of rose, chai spices and dark cacao to finish off your nutritious lunch on the terrace.
Balm-Making Workshop: Join us for a hands-on balm-making workshop that takes you on a journey from nature to nurture. We’ll start the day with a foraging session, gathering herbs from the surrounding landscape, and learning about their unique medicinal properties. Then, using natural sunflower oil and vegetable wax, you'll infuse these handpicked herbs and blend them with essential oils to create your very own energising or relaxing pulse-point balm.

About Natasha Richardson: Forage Botanical founder, Natasha Richardson, holds a BSc (Hons) in herbal medicine and a master’s in the history of women’s medicine from The University of Oxford. After struggling with her own menstrual health and finding conventional treatments unsuccessful, Natasha used her scientific knowledge to create healing and effective herbal remedies. For over a decade, she ran a successful clinic addressing menstrual complaints, leading to the publication of her book, 'Your Period Handbook.' Today, Natasha focuses on product development and community relationships at Forage Botanicals, offering natural products, personalised treatment plans, and empowering online courses. |
